ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Birla Shishu Vihar, Pilani was established in 1953 under the visionary leadership of the great philanthropist Padma Vibhushan Shri G. D. Birla with the aim of spreading quality education in the region and empowering society through learning. The school began modestly with two rooms, one teacher and 25 students, primarily to cater to the educational needs of the wards of BET and BITS employees. With the dedication of committed teachers and the continuous support of Birla Education Trust, the school steadily progressed and earned the reputation of being one of the premier English medium schools of the region. Owing to its growing popularity and academic excellence, the school was upgraded over the years and introduced Class VI in 2001. The school was affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at the Secondary level in 2005 and has since grown into a well-established Senior Secondary co-educational day school. Today, Birla Shishu Vihar is known for its commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, modern infrastructure, value-based education and integration of technology in the teaching-learning process.

Birla Shishu Vihar is run under the aegis of Birla Education Trust, Pilani. It is a co-educational English medium Senior Secondary School affiliated to CBSE, offering education from Nursery to Class XII. The school is committed not only to academic excellence but also to the holistic development of students through co-curricular activities, sports, leadership programmes and value-based education. With modern infrastructure, smart classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, ATL and AI & Robotics facilities, the school strives to nurture creativity, innovation, discipline and lifelong learning among students.

Birla Shishu Vihar, the pristine educational institution, is located in the education hub, Pilani, Rajasthan. Here the nature has lavished the best of her charms. The Campus is set on 7 acres of land. Nature never did betray the heart that loved her. So is the graceful manifestation of serene ambience that surrounds the school. The tranquility of its neighborhood, with its magnificent and alluring gardens, vibrant butterflies and birds and temple of the goddess Saraswati make the school invariably and temptingly admirable. Infrastructure

The school campus is spread over 3.5 acres of land and provides a modern, learner-friendly environment. The school has smart classrooms equipped with interactive panels and multimedia facilities, well-equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories, Mathematics Lab, ATL Lab, AI & Robotics Lab, and special activity rooms for Music, Dance, Art and Craft. The library is enriched with books, magazines, journals and Kindle devices for e-learning. The school also has well-equipped computer labs with high-speed internet connectivity. Spacious playgrounds and sports facilities for hockey, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, cricket, taekwondo and other activities are available along with safe play areas for primary students. The school also promotes environmental awareness through rain water conservation and other energy conservation initiatives.
